Dumb evolution
There are so many fucking awful things going on in the world at the moment, and one of the things that really does my head in is how incredibly stupid so much of it is. Anyway, today's little poem is about that I guess.
War-sharpened tusks
Curling back
Into the skull of society -
Flesh-eating larvae
Burrowing into
Online eyes, can you see
This ugly stupidity
This dumb cruelty of
Chance of
Change unthought
Charging backwards
Towards an evolution
Nobody could see
Coming?

A misstep, stumbling
Downward the crumbling
Ladder of millennia.
_
Pantomime blood-thirst
Rehearsed and rehearsed
Until its real
Bursts free from
Prison-minds.
_
Missing links cheer
For the return of their chains
As long as the ones they
Hate
Are chained first.
