Duality

Darkness and light combine into me,

Pieces of my heart glow amongst the shadows of my soul.

A constellation of broken parts that remind me of the sea.

The depths of the deep waves that blackness stole.

To be human is to embrace,

The dark parts of life and set the light free.

Sometimes I feel like I have been swallowed into outer space.

I have learned to live with the empty feeling inside me.

Everyone's got a dark side they swallow back.

Allow the light to be the fuel that gets you to tomorrow.

Allow yourself to become like a glowstick when you crack.

Find the humanity amongst the pain and sorrow.

But as the moon does, you go through multiple phases.

The trick here is to embrace the golden rays of sunny days.
