Factories stand tall, with smokestacks reaching high,
A double-edged sword, with benefits and a sigh.
They fuel progress, igniting innovation's flame,
Yet cast shadows of consequence, tarnishing nature's name.
From assembly lines to technological prowess,
Factories bring marvels, shaping our progress.
They provide jobs, a means to sustain,
Supporting families, a lifeline to gain.
But with their might, a darker side is found,
Pollution's legacy, on the Earth's sacred ground.
Smoke-filled skies and toxic rivers flow,
A reminder of the price we pay, the debts we owe.
In the realm of industry, choices must be made,
To safeguard our future, amidst the gains that cascade.
For factories hold the power, to shape our world's fate,
A responsibility we bear, before it's too late.

Introduction I have seen lots of posts for Imbolc, which I should have expected given the friends that I have made, but this is the first year that I have been made aware of it. I took the below information from the internet and and will use it along with a painting by my friend The Glittering Fox to create a Villanelle for Imbolc.
