Drowned Out

A Moment of Silence Acrostic

By D. J. ReddallPublished about a year ago 1 min read
An AI Generated Image

Slowly, we drown in noise devoid of a signal

Inundated by inanities, we ignore genuine wisdom

Lost in loud information, terribly trivial

Entertained and amused, allergic to tedium

Never knowing serene peace, convivial

Confused, distracted crowds make one ache for freedom

Eschew the flood ethereal; find real, living material

Acrostic

I'm with Cindy. That last line hits the core.

Love, love, love this acrostic poem on silence. "Eschew the flood ethereal; find real, living material"....is an amazing poetic line.
