Everything All At Once

Drizzles of rain on the sidewalk

as I take my morning walk

around the block, pausing to

enjoy the scent of the

roses growing in my neighbor’s

garden as they soak up

the drops, their crimson

petals glistening

Drizzles of warm water

still dripping from the

shower head after a warm

shower to chase away

any lingering chill from the

foggy morning outside

Drizzles of tea splashing

onto the saucer as I

set the cup back down,

reveling in the calming

brew before beginning

my work for the day

Drizzles of ink falling as

I begin to write, spilling

my soul onto these pages of memories, dreams,

and everything in between

inspirational
