if granted the chance what changes you would make

if time rewound the clock just for you

our scars are like tattoos we put on display

***

would you reword the things you'd say

if you could change a thing or two

if granted the chance what changes you would make

***

if you could relive any other day

erase the past and start brand new

our scars are like tattoos we put on display

***

would you seek forgiveness or revenge for your mistakes

if you found yourself standing in somebody's shoes

if granted the chance what changes you would make

***

or would you press repeat keeping things just the same

denying what everyone knows is the truth

our scars are like tattoos we put on display

***

some people deny that they're in need of change

they will do them and insist you do you

if granted the chance what changes you would make

our scars are like tattoos we put on display

Congratulations Kelli on your deeply fire filled poem. I think I am pretty good at hiding my scars until I have had a few glasses of wine and start rumbling through my inner "X" files. Ugh.

Amazing . I loved it . Make me thinking what would i do . After a lot of thinking and debating with myself from choosing one or the another things, I decided that I would not make any change. Once a moment is gone, it’s gone. I will keep cherishing my past, be grateful for the present, hopeful for the future. 😇
