Dreams Of Sandcastles

In The Face Of Reality

A siren cries outside my window

I wonder how far off they are

Midnights provocative crescendo

In

Moonlights mysterious prison bars

Moments pass, someone to save

As

The clock reminds me time is borrowed

Each day, the cradle to the grave

Now

Filled with wonder, hope and sorrow

Postcards of places far away

Pale in hopes to see tomorrow

Drowned out by wind chimes in the rain

Muffling the silence that will follow

surreal poetry

  • Love your poem

  • Ask not for whom the sirens blare..., (HIPPA, you know) But do pray for them & all those you hold dear.
