A love poem about missing someone

How is it thee that I adore;

Yet to me, thou art only a tale

That is no more?

Trapped behind a veil

As a spectre that haunts me

In a dream.

The thought of thee;

Broken by dawn’s gleam;

Turned into a waking nightmare

When thou art not there.
