My dreams have taken flight

I remember now

Sometimes when I fall asleep

I adorn a crown

I have lived a thousand lives

My imagination runs amok

For better or worse, without it

We would lie and watch the clock

So let it take you dancing

If you're lucky, running wild

For sometimes when I sleep

I'm frightened like a child

Or I'm fighting in a battle

That's great and big and bloody

Or I'm running naked in the street

Which you think is rather funny

Or I'm flying on a dragon

Or fixing fairy wings

Or sailing high upon the seven seas

Or other silly things

But every night without fail

If I manage to fall asleep

I'm living one of a thousand lives

And it's those dreams that I shall keep
