When you stand at
The edge of an abyss
Darker than the pits of hell
Brimming with the chaos of silence
And you look up to see
Midnight blue sprinkled with
The very stars that adorn your crown,
Threading their glowing wisps
Tight around your essence
And you take a step forward
—You think that you can fly—
Yet the abyss is waiting
Beckoning the what-ifs
The tainted parts of you,
The dark can see straight through your soul
Better to listen to the others,
Idealistic fool
But you take a step forward
—you’ve stopped caring—
And
fly
you
