To haunt my dreams
Plague has found me
Waltzing in uninvited
Coating vulnerable lungs
Weighty punishment for
Transgressions unwritten
Taking to my chesterfield
Dramatic languishing
With flair, of course
Victorian sprawl
(Temporarily) consumptive
Morbidly morose
Moribund malady
Who must feed the dog
Load the dishwasher
Humbled is the one
Who rode
(With no doors!!!)
A helicopter
On Friday

I’m still trying to process (and write a wicked poem) about the coolest thing I’ve ever done. Last Friday I shot a prominent figure for a story and we took a helicopter to shoot it. I thought I was soooo cool, and I was! But any ego must be checked immediately and so a nasty cold robbed my bones of all smugness, haha.
While a helicopter ride (WITH NO DOORS) is stupidly cool and wondrous, needing prescription steroid eye drops afterwards takes the romance out of it somewhat.

Well-wrought! Not quite the same but reminds me of the old quip that "no good deed goes unpunished."
Lol. That last bit in your AN had me giggling. You're such a class act that you smoothly transitioned from discussing the most thrilling and profound thing ever to eye drops. Loved it. Also - the deathly m word lines and just your usual flair for well-chosen words and short lines. Such a bad-ass, Tom Cruise, eat your heart out - Marie is trying to steal your thunder, one day at a time (yes, that was a reference to the film.) Well done for the feat, that super cool and sexy shot of you taking a shot and writing such a cool little poem to celebrate it!
Omggg, you are without a doubt super cool! My fear of heights could never hahahahahaha. Also, moribund is a new word for me. Loved your poem!
I love how you dug the m words out and made a home for them in this wonderful poem. A collection of every second and every minute of such a fun day. I am sorry to hear that you got sick and had to be prescribed steroid eye drops. Then here we are enjoying this wondrous moment with you, for the first time but you, for the second. Thank you for not forgetting us. This was wonderful, especially that photo. I am terrified of heights so I wouldn't be caught dead. But I am glad you enjoyed yourself. 🤗❤️
That does sound like an amazing adventure.
