Doves. These birds are perennial symbols of innocence and purity.
This season, may they also bring lasting joy, hope and peace
A white bird nesting upright on a tree
Wings unfurled, untainted
Content, with no care, to let things be
Its feathery wings white and pure
Untouched by the vibes of life
Unblemished by their allure
You hear its gentle coos of joy
Feel the feathers rustling happiness
Ever heartened and coy
In its precious beak
Sagacious olive branch
In their leaves the peace we seek
It crafts a warm egg-filled nest
The hatchlings pop up and wish
To put all concerns to rest
A bird with form so fine
Flying with abandon
Finally resting amongst branches of pine
Crafting genial nests with twine.
A happy Yultide, all.

Such a beautiful poem. There a sense of real peace in the coo of a dove. Well done.
Lovely and up lifting.
