Double Hurry in a Rush

Double Check your Pockets

By Amos GladePublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Watch, keys, wallet, phone.

I woke up late today

Forgot to set an alarm clock

I was in the celebration zone.

Keys, wallet, phone, watch.

Today’s the first of my new job,

Don't have time for breakfast

But still spilled coffee in my crotch.

Wallet, phone, watch, keys.

I was almost out the door,

Changed my pants in just two clicks,

Cleaned up in a breeze.

Phone, watch, keys, wallet.

Did I forget to lock the door?

Checked it, ready for the road,

Did I turn off the faucet?

Watch, keys, wallet, phone.

I took them off to clean myself.

Now none are in my pockets,

And I’m locked out all alone.
