Though longing may threaten to pull you in,

t'ward one who is 'completely wrong' for you,

when loneliness grips, don't you dare give in.

Stand tall and think on all that you have been

and all the troubles that you've been put through -

though longing may threaten to pull you in.

Though charm and beauty try to reel you in

(but mind and heart are something you see through),

when loneliness grips, don't you dare give in.

Stalwart and strong and kind and good you've been.

Your strength to overcome has got you through -

though longing may threaten to pull you in.

Many will try to tempt you toward sin,

toward a hell you've already been through,

When loneliness grips, don't you dare give in.

Though life may not reward how great you've been

nor give you gifts for chaos you've been through

Though longing may threaten to pull you in

When loneliness grips, don't you dare give in.
