Don’t Tell Me What to Write

I’ll Let the Holy Spirit Be My Guide

Psalm 45:1 NIV

My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

Don’t tell me

What to write

To happy

To sad

To realistic

To selfish

But you don’t

Have the power

Too guide my pen

The Holy Spirit

Is my guide.

~~~
Some call it the
Muse
A mythical thing
But the Holy Spirit
Is as real as the air
I breathe
The Holy Spirit
Guides my pen
Allows me to breathe.
~~~

If it makes you

Feel better to

Question my

Integrity

Go ahead

Because I know

Where I stand

And the only

One I’ll bow down to

Is the King of Kings

The Lord of Lord’s.

~~~
I won’t paint
The world
In a picture
Of perfection
But I’ll talk
Of beauty
In the broken
Places
And strength
Behind the tears.
~~~

And when

I see the scars

That surround me

I’ll remember the nail

Pierced hands

Of Jesus Christ

Nailed to the cross

To pay for our sins.

~~~
Don’t tell me
What to write
The words aren’t
Mine to control
But a gift from
The Lord above
Sent dowm with
Love!
