Don't Act So Busy

You are mere mortal

By Seema PatelPublished 9 months ago 1 min read
@Seema

Don’t feign being so busy

that you can’t..

admire the azalea

and the pigment pattern

of senescent leaves

on strawberry trees.

that you can’t..

blow a dandelion seedhead,

or notice a shamrock

and its tiny flowers.

that you can’t..

how swallow birds

cling to the walls,

making their mud nests.

that you can’t..

stop for inhaling

divine lemon blossoms

or enjoy the dappled shade

under a catkin-laden oak

that you can’t..

see the marine fog

creeping inland.

the chrysalis starting

its journey for butterfly.

that you can’t..

see the moon rising

in the eastern sky.

@Seema

Don’t act so occupied.

It’s in vain.

Spend time marveling at the

spectacles of nature

for your time is shrinking,

you are a mortal being.
