Do You?

I Already Know The Answer

Do you still pause for a moment

hiding, just under your breath

Aligning every component

stories checked and rechecked

Do you still gaslight with flowers

and words made of glass

Do you pour over and scour

to hide the fact, you're an ass

Do you still keep your hands to yourself

as you tear another apart

Do you still feel compelled

to play these games with a heart

To make your image the focus

as you batter and bruise

Keep the monkeys in your circus

completely dazed and confused

Do you still smile as you lie

like a snake in the grass

Marking the moment and time

you've outlived another outcast

Still maintaining with perfection

that it was never your fault

A pro at redirection and shitty deception

like the leader of a cult

I feel sorry for your next victim

as she tries to play your game

All the while, you play dumb

I know, you're unable to change
