The poem whose job is to encourage you to do whatever it is you wanna do
Go skydiving
Now wait, before you leave I promise I’ll start with baby steps I was joking but we’ll get there eventually
Ask to pet the stranger's dog
Smile at a baby
Dance in the rain, get your hair soaking wet, and don’t record it
Run all the way to the beach
Go on a jog outside
Go on a walk
Go learn a new skill
Say no (I know, a crazy one right)
Take that nap
Dance in the mirror
Publish that book (Even if you think no one will read it)
Post the selfie
Paint something
Shower in the dark (This is also a crazy one I know)
Watch your favorite childhood movie
Give more energy to yourself instead of the people who don’t love you as you are
Ride the rollercoaster (even if you're scared)
Wear the bikini (even if you hate looking at your own body)
Become friends with that person
Compliment a stranger
Write your thoughts onto a piece of paper
Forgive yourself
Even better, decide there’s nothing to forgive
Start the business
Call them. Tell them what’s on your mind
Decide that today is a brand new and blank page for you to fill out as much as you can with your heart’s desires
Anything that sounds like it’s going to make you happy but you’re scared of what might happen, or what your old friends from high school will think, or what your parents will think, your grandpa, grandma, cat, uncle, fish, who cares. Just go do it and see what happens.
Doesn’t that sound sexy? A new adventure?
Stop overcomplicating it
Whatever it is you’re thinking about doing just go do it, whether it’s something big like skydiving or simply posting a silly video of yourself dancing on the internet
Life is meant to be lived and you’re not running out of time to live it
No matter where you are or who you think you’ll be, it’s gonna be okay I promise, just try to have as much fun as you can while you can
Don’t be the person who wishes they could go back in time and do something when they had “more confidence”.
Just do it right now and remember to breathe.
