Darkness swallows up my bedroom as the sun dips down to sleep.
In the inky, swirling blackness I start to see her face.
She smiles. Her eyes well up with sorrow.
Too many times I've been here. We both know it's true.
Reaching out, she takes my hand. "You can't keep doing this."
All of me wants to argue, but I wont. I
Can't. I know all too well
That each time my mind leaves to see her
It wants to stay forever.
Once, I loved someone.
Now she's gone. Her ghost distracted from my pain. Now I must move on.
About the Creator
Milo Blake
Hi there!
I'm a screenwriter who's trying to get better at fiction prose. I'm an all-around nerd for anything sci-fi, fantasy, and horror.
I hope you enjoy what I have, and thanks for reading!
