Distance blurs your eyes. Fading into the cool blue document that smirks at you with villainous hatred.

In the abyss, you have fallen in too deep. Your eyes burn green with envy for the people who can just write.

Sometimes you just wish the world would be quiet just for two seconds while you get started; it makes your ears bleed as your tear-ducts leak in salty defeat

Trust me! I can write!” You pointlessly cry at the keyboard knowing computers can’t understand you. Or can it? You are aware they are always listening for your name so what else have they learnt?

Rebellion dances round your head like dizzy stars. You can’t force any motivation lest the revolution grow stronger. Louder and louder.

Attention seeking, you plead for just one story to be discovered. Someway, somehow. You do not care.

Conquered, your mind races with thoughts of what you have and haven’t done

There it goes again! You must resist. The phone constantly pings like a drum beat. Just. One. Look…

It’s pointless to resist. Ideas course through your fingers like a pack of hunting wolves. Click, click, click: the keys spark your inspiration that burns in sweet relief. The pit in your stomach sinks deeper and deeper. It throbs with all the ideas you were going to use before you let your fingers take control.

Only one thing left to do: Start

Night falls and yet the blank page stares back at you. Soulless with what could have been brimming full of stories, anything. It still stares. Meaningless.
