Distraction

Written for the Distraction challenge and...welp. Here it is anyway.

Driven by static surging beneath the costume

Identity crisis is no excuse for tardiness or failure

Somewhere there is softness, intimacy,

The call of it quiets the buzzing with lavendar and honey

Rose petals grow in unison for their own good

All the world's a stage, a phase, even. Don't fret

Careful now, don't startle the daffodils

Tell the weather we'll be there soon

Intention and invention tease each other into being

Only the butterflies know their path ahead of time

Never would have come here on purpose, but oh, darling, how magnificent

inspirational
