The Human Mind Was Made to Wander

Distraction

Down I go again through the rabbit hole

In my mind that keeps on thinking…and thinking,

Subconsciously controlling me despite

The fight I put up for silence, while

Resistance builds its brick walls between my

Autopilot stalled brain and all I wish to

Complete, yet the cyclical power of my psyche speaks louder

Than my focus can, one might see it when

I want to accomplish a task yet I'm met with

Overwhelming feelings that’s it’s just too much to ask, so

No point in speaking up, when the thought just never lasts.
