Distant
Feeling out of place? Sometimes I feel like the only one.
Feeling trapped within this hole
Is there light within my soul?
No one knows or even cares
Feeling distant and in despair
All the chaos just keeps twirling
Falling and falling
Can I get off this ride now?
A tornado blowing through
Being pushed aside and more distant from you
Why won't these feelings just go away
Distant from all I love
Distant from those who love me
One day I'll wake up and it will all be a bad dream
This feeling I hope won't last forever
Prince charming will come waltzing in
I'll be swept off my feet
No longer feeling distant and defeat
For now, just hold your head high
You will survive
Don't be too distant but don't get too close
Girl you've got this, and you know it the most
We all tend to fall for a man/woman who we think is our prince/princess. We move too quickly instead of taking it slow. Just a reminder to not rush things even when you think it feels right. Take time to get to know one another no matter how lonely you are.
