Disposable

A Poem

Head in my hands

Sifting through the sand

Of ruined unplanned events

Nowhere to vent

A shoulder lent

Is a shoulder lost

Oh, what’s the cost of carrying this burden

Always hopeful

Yet

Always indisposably disposable

A heart choking on a mouthful of pain

Regret

For cracking the door

Draw the chain back

Time to react as you always do when in pain

A recluse

When you find it’s nothing new

It’s what you knew it always to be

Never fully open up

Better to remain a mystery

    Very Good!

  • Without the mystery, everyone remains wondering whether you should be loved, despised or simply dismissed. With it, the question always remain for others to ferret out. It's more fun that way.
