dismal theatre
same abode, distinct rules

we came out after the rain
all as one man
knowing the schedule
achieving the lightness of our ligaments
ludicrously lingered less
in our separate, same apartments
however
we do not have the same goals
contradictions are points
mostly achievable here
where everyone is from everywhere
yet
we have to cook in the same cauldron
with foreign ingredients and spices
within the same walls, sidewalks, trees
telling deviating cultural stories
ending when someone starts
as we were conceived
on opposite worlds
now we live here in the same spot so
what else could we wish for
than to respect each other?
do not talk in the same air
when others want to sleep
don’t make love out loud
when someone is alone
afraid that the faces of others
will frown like this angrily
that the walls are in danger of collapsing
not yet
until a red stream appears in the blood
allowing a sudden surge to the surface
with the right destination and description
of our time here
