“Salutations, Brontosaurus. It had to be you by the way those trees did fell.”

“Good morning, Stegosaurus. Indeed! I trust your spines are keeping well?”

-

“I can say they are, if it is that you can’t see from all they way up there?”

“Indeed once again, it must be that I’m growing with height to spare.”

-

“Oh pish posh, Broti, you’re killing me! It simply can’t be true?”

“Perhaps you’re right, Stego my fellow, but I’d wager an inch or two.”

-

“Forget all that and listen here, there’s new ‘tea’ I just must dish.”

“Oh? Then let me unburden you friend, if it that be your wish?”

-

“I do wish. Now lower your neck, there’s talk of something scuttling.”

“Scuttling? Now that’s a new one and I must admit it’s puzzling.”

-

“They’re furry and borrowing, they squirm and they’re little.”

“Interesting! It like it! Would you say that they’re brittle?

-

“Hard to say, I admit. I clomp and stomp and they just ‘scuttle’ away.”

“Away? Why, whatever is that for? Well, it’s their loss, I’ll just say.”

-

“Agreed! It’s rude! It’s rubbish! And I simply can’t abide.”

“Perhaps they’ll come around? We’re ever so large, beside.”

-

“I suppose you’re right, as usual, but still it’s hard not to blame.”

“Forget it, Stego! Now tell me, do these creatures have a name?”

-

“Yes, of course, they go by ‘mammal’! Have you heard of such a thing?”

“Mammal? No… though I at least confess it has a certain ring.”

-

“Certainly! I agree, but their way of life is dubious at best.”

“Perhaps we keep our distance, do you think they’ll stand the test?”

-

“Survive you mean? Heavens no, they haven’t got a chance.”

“Hmm, oh well, I don’t know enough to come down on a stance.”

-

“It would take a miracle, a fluke, a blunder to take us out for good.”

“I’d be a disater! But such a thing I doubt would happen, if it even could.”
