Discerning Identity

I shine bright yellow like the sun,

diverse and different like no one.

I've grown to love and find my place,

in a world that can undoubtedly displace.

Embracing all my qualities,

and colors deep inside of me,

my heart shines hues of violet too,

despite my countless times in blue.

A title or a box they've tried,

but never do I fit inside.

My soul shines tints of yellow-orange,

and red blood circulates deep inside.

Prideful of my way of life,

loving the same you like,

we're humans made of flesh and skin,

embracing all I have within.
