*Disappointed Myself*

I let myself down in the quiet hour,

When doubt took root and drained my power.

I turned away from dreams I chased,

And lost the courage I embraced.

The mirror shows what I can’t hide,

The fears I keep, the truths denied.

A voice within, once bold and strong,

Now whispers, “Where did I go wrong?”

Chose silence when I knew I could

To learn, to rise, to heal, to stay.

For even when I fail to see,

I’m still the one who sets me free.
