Disability

Don't Judge!

By Annie WilliamsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Who are you to judge?

I have a disability that you may not see

It hurts me so when people stand and stare at me

As I park my car in that yellow space over by the tree

What do you expect me to look like?

I'm a human being, not a four headed pike!

We can all be so judgemental

that I understand, but please next time think

before you jump up and cause a stink

You don't know my life and story

Its filled with hope and praying for glory

The day after the crash they said to me

"please consider having amputation at the knee"

Would I consider? Are you serious? Stop listen

most definitely not I'll fight for this mission

I will prove to you my ankle can be saved

no matter how many bones you have to shave

The last operation was a triple graft and fusion

left me on one leg, boy what a confusion

I slipped and broke the bone in my wrist

All in cast, just me and my two kids

So think before you stand and stare

you don't know what happened to the person over there

Just remember not every disability you can see

people constantly judging, but they don't know the history

There are many disabilities too many to count

So maybe have a think before you shout

and say, or do something you will regret

leaving that person over there very upset

inspirational
