Our digital footprints never fade,
Like ghosts in silent servers kept,
The comments and the posts we made
While all the world around us slept.
The photos that we thought were gone,
The messages we can't recall,
In digital dusk and digital dawn
Our online shadows stand so tall.
We think we delete and erase,
But in the cloud our memories stay,
Leaving a permanent trace
Of everything we do and say.
These digital ghosts of who we were
Still wander in the machine's heart,
Their silent voices still occur
Though we've forgotten from the start.
So mind the words you type with speed,
The images you choose to share -
These are the digital seeds
That grow beyond your knowing care.
