Different Shades of Me

Color Diversity By: Tiffany G

By Tiffany Published 5 years ago 1 min read

You’d never believe the different tints of pink on my lips, tongue, and cheeks are what give me the strength to speak so that I am clearly heard by my peers surrounding me.

My sepia complexion that runs from the palm of my hand down to the heels of my feet are what allow me to exceed my dreams that may seem a quite of a distance to those who don’t believe I can succeed.

Some are taught to believe only certain colors of the rainbow will make it to the “big league”.

I was taught every shade of blue and pink had a chance at anything.

These hues of brown that come together to make up my body will never detain me from excelling, as I have learned every hue, every shade, and every pigment on me will only aid me to the “big league” that I seek.
