Different

Will is unmeasurable, but so are you

By Marcus HillPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

Inside, you sit comfortably

while still feeling surrounded.

Joy fills the soul of those in light,

while others shrink,

searching for growth.

Answers hide under beds

like bad secrets—

the same test failed again and again.

Unfair is obvious,

yet ignored,

as if we were promised perfection at birth.

Applause replaces genuine smiles.

Recognition replaces love.

Some cheer only when eyes are watching—

they take, never give.

Look over your shoulder as you rise.

Make sure those behind you

cheered just as loudly

when no one else could hear.

Exposure without roots

will crack the foundation.

Lose the soil,

and growth falters.

So hold fast to humbleness.

It plants fortune in souls

that money cannot reach.

Be bold in asking.

Work for what you dream.

Fix your crown—

not for vanity,

but for strength.

Royalty in your life

comes not from chance,

but from the will

to be great.
