Difference of Opinions

Morally, what does that mean?

By Sadie BowlerPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Difference of opinions,

Almost with all of them, in fact.

Something so simple to me

Yet so arbitrary to you.

How does one see the pain of the world and not bleed along with it?

Seeing people who might as well be you and I,

Starving, alone and poor.

How can you say I live in an idealistic fantasy while you are the one grounded in reality?

Is it really so insane to theorize about a world where money was used for good and shared amongst those in need?

I think this highlights the drastic difference between you and me.

Being born into the age of revolution,

The age of evolution,

I can’t learn about all that I have, and not give a single damn.

Because man is man, we are all human.

And I can’t help but become furious at the growing discontentment for those put in need by the ones with power, money and greed.

You say homelessness is a choice.

As if one would choose to have no voice.

I say the system is broken and without hope.

And by the time the system stops fucking them,

They’ve become just another reinforced trope.

Something so arbitrary to you,

Yet so simple to me.

Just a difference of opinions,

But morally, what does that mean?
