Did they Land On The Moon In 1969

Poem 1

did man set foot on the moon in sixty nine

or did they fake it in some desert line

flags that waved with no breeze to blow

shadows falling where they shouldn’t go

they say the eagle landed proud and sure

one small step and the world felt pure

but ask the man to swear it’s true

he looks away, won’t answer you

a bible held in someone’s hand

why not swear, if you did stand

on lunar ground so far from here

why the pause, why the flicker of fear

did hollywood light the dusty trail

a soundstage moon in silver pale

did wires lift what boots should press

was it truth, or a well-dressed guess

no stars above in that black sky

no crater bloom when rockets fly

film that vanished, tapes gone too

all we’re left with’s a dream or clue

they say it’s real, they say believe

but truth’s a thing men twist and weave

so I ask in voice not rage or fight

if it was so, why hide the light

America I don’t understand

what’s right or wrong

but all truths come out

if they fester too long

Note to my readers, Please tell me your opinion. No matter where your from. They say half of Americans believe, and the other Have Don’t. Me personally I do believe. Your opinion counts, join in this discussion pleas 🙏

Poem2

That Night in Sixty-Nine

We sat round the telly in sixty-nine

No talking, just hush, no drink of wine

Only the flicker of black and white

Man on the moon, or so said the light

His voice cracked through from far away

“One small step” that’s what he said

The room went still, like time had froze

No one blinked, no one chose

Some had tears, some raised a brow

Me, I just stared, thinking how?

Was it real, that bounce, that flag

Or a clever show with a camera lag

Dad said, “Look, it’s history made”

Mum lit a cig, amazed in silence

The night felt strange, the world held breath

A moment marked by space and depth

The sky outside was deep and black

I looked up once, then looked right back

All those stars, so cold, so wide

I wondered who was on which side

They say we watched the world unite

But I remember the strangeness that night

Not the pride, not the cheer or cheer

Just the quiet crackle, the distant gear

I was ten, sat close, heart thumping loud

It looked unreal, dad was proud

I didn’t care if it was fake

It was a night to remember for ever,

if you like us stayed awake.

    Great work

  • First of all just because they refuse to swear on the Bible does not mean that they are lying. Buzz Aldrin refused to swear on the Bible because it contradicts his personal beliefs. There are many people that have sworn on the Bible but did not uphold truth. Donald Trump is one of them, he swore on the Bible in 2017. Neil Armstrong has confirmed many times that he went to the moon and landed on its surface. Why would either astronaut play along with a conspiracy theorist such as Bart Sibrel who asked them to swear on the Bible. I’m glad neither of them diminished the significance of the Bible by playing along with Sibrel’s game of conspiracy. The Bible should never be used in that manner - shame on Bart Sibrel, bravo Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. I believe 100% that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in 1969. The conspiracy theorist have absolutely no proof that they did not land on the moon. They have all been debunked many times over including their fake pictures with fake shadows and such.

  • British Nigerian here. I don't believe anyone has ever landed on the moon. But it's safer to pretend to

A deep poem that questions the 1969 moon landing, mixing doubt with a desire for the real story

Canadian here. I believe it did take place. Most of the pseudoscience against the event can be debunked if you read the scientists who actually know their job.
