Did I know you yesterday
Did I Know You Yesterday?
Did I know you yesterday,
Were you a part of me?
Did I know you yesterday,
If yes, then what became of me?
Were we whispers in the wind,
Fleeting souls, a dance so bright?
Now I wander, searching for
The echoes lost in fading light.
Once entwined in time’s embrace,
In laughter shared, so wild and free?
Now I chase the remnants left,
A shadow of what used to be.
If yes, what fragments of our bond
Still linger deep within your soul?
Did I slip away like seasons change,
Or remain in your heart, still whole?
Did I know you yesterday,
Were you a part of me?
Did I know you yesterday,
If yes, then what became of me?
Was I the echo in your mind,
The shadow you once knew?
Now a stranger, undefined,
Fading like a sky that’s lost its blue.
Were we once intertwined in time,
In moments pure and free?
But now, I search for signs and rhyme,
Wondering what was left of me.
If yes, what part of me remains,
In your heart, in your soul’s trace?
Did I fade like forgotten names,
Or still linger in some quiet space?
Did I know you yesterday?
If yes, what became of me?

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

I think we all ask this question of ourselves from time to time. Good job.
