Did Curiosity Execute The Cat?

A Poem on curiosity.

They say curiosity executed the cat,

I don’t think it’s guilty of that

Curiosity can be a tool

But is a weapon in the hands of a fool

Young children and animals like to explore

Unaware of the danger behind the next door

Wanting to touch, feel, taste, see the world through innocent eyes

Innocent hearts, souls, and minds

Curiosity aids in a child’s imagination

And will increase their fascination

Of their world and all its beauty

But curiosity has a duty

To a child that must learn

That playing with fire you will be burned

It stops children from giving up

But adults can’t drink from the same cup

They can’t use innocence

It won’t fit with their knowledge or experience

Adults should be wiser

Cause curiosity can be a viper

Maybe they are right

Curiosity did incite the cat to die alright.
