A diamond, rare and brilliant, hard as stone
A symbol of eternal love, pure and true
Its facets catch the light, and it alone
Can sparkle brighter than the morning dew
A miner's labor, deep beneath the ground
Is needed to extract this precious gem
But once it's found, its value knows no bound
And placed within a ring, it's beauty condemn
But not all diamonds are created equal
Some flawed, some small, some yellow, not all white
But the true gems, are those that are most special
And sparkle with an inner, fire, so bright
So when you give a diamond to your love
It will be a symbol of what they're made of
