Dialogue without Words
The three sat, and two talked.
One listened and interrupted.
In an instant, the air shifts.
Invisible words pass by the one and the one
With no awareness of the one, yet all too aware of the other
She sees what she doesn't want to see
Yet it's what's there, and it sucks
A burden that the one chooses to bear, even with painful words
Because she knows it's something the other one has needed to show for some time.
For the other one has pushed down things for her entire lifetime
One knows that it's no excuse for the childlike nature of the other
Patience runs thin
The realization of similarities provides insight and fear
And what not to do. And do.
About the Creator
Shannon Marie Lemire
Writing is a part of who I am; I go between handwritten lengthy journaling to sitting here glued in front of my laptop. As inspiration hits, I write; following the intuitive nudge on what to share.
You'll see many sides of me here.
Enjoy.
