Diagnosis
When your world may be upended
I recall a scene
in Fahrenheit 451,
when the big bomb drops.
The hero watches
as land and sky trade places
in a crazy dance.
The ground blasts upward,
along with all the people;
below, cloud-filled space.
Time is suspended --
Then comes the crash, and the flames.
And so, too, I wait.
