This was an exceptional poem. For just how much emotion...that longing for the object of desire only to lose it and the heat disappearing. Kinda heartbreaking, but beautifully expressed.

Ooof, I interpreted this differently ... the chase and desire of a lover, yet they slip away leaving you alone

Great, Sam. I loved the simplicity of this but it says so much - love escaping after heat, unbearable heat to coldness and darkness. Excellent!

Submission and didacticism dominate the poem. Very nice work and lively. ... The laws of God...
