des per ation on the dot
a comet’s song
By Irene Margarita Irizarry CruzPublished 6 years ago • 1 min read

my mirror only shows a carrier of me: there’s a part of (i) still missing
4am awakened
my eyes fixate on the distance between our bodies
i blinked when i shouldn’t have
i can’t feel me there with you; we are a year now.
i whisper a certainty: i am not alone in the universe
composing astrological pieces
we became comets
to float freely in this space we share
absent of superficiality voids
pulling our gravitational feelings closer
with just a kiss
stretching time alongside
our starry moment.

in constant self-discovery. i scribble my thoughts into poetry and journaling as a journey into finding myself. i tend to fall in love with nostalgia as well as laughter, joy and stillness.
