Depths of Darkness

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 3 months ago 2 min read

Verse 1:

In the shadows where the heart beats slow,

Whispers echo, secrets buried low.

Every scar, a story left unsaid,

True love’s beauty born from wounds we dread.

Pre-Chorus:

We’ve danced with shadows, played with fears,

Felt the weight of uncried tears.

But in the darkness, something stirs,

A spark ignites, and hope occurs.

Chorus:

When you touch the dark, you find the light,

Together we’ll become a star so bright.

What’s hidden deep, we’ll bring to view,

True love’s dark corners shine for you.

Radiating warmth, like the morning sun,

In the depths of night, our hearts are one.

Verse 2:

Every glance, a promise wrapped in pain,

A tapestry woven with pleasure and strain.

But love unearths what we try to hide,

Every ache becomes a rising tide.

Pre-Chorus:

Through the rubble, we’ll build anew,

With every heartbeat, a world for two.

The scars we carry, they don’t define,

In this profound darkness, your heart meets mine.

Chorus:

When you touch the dark, you find the light,

Together we’ll become a star so bright.

What’s hidden deep, we’ll bring to view,

True love’s dark corners shine for you.

Radiating warmth, like the morning sun,

In the depths of night, our hearts are one.

Bridge:

It’s never what it seems, it’s more than it iS,

A journey of shadows, a bittersweet kiss.

But the beauty’s in the struggle, in the fight,

When you find your way in the darkest night.

Chorus:

When you touch the dark, you find the light,

Together we’ll become a star so bright.

What’s hidden deep, we’ll bring to view,

True love’s dark corners shine for you.

Radiating warmth, like the morning sun,

In the depths of night, our hearts are one.

Outro:

So let the shadows fall, let the world be blind,

In this hidden place, our souls aligned.

True love isn’t easy, but it’s always there,

In the deepest darkness, we find our rare flair.

Together we rise, brighter than the dawn,

In the dark, my love, our spirits are drawn.
