Denial and Cheekiness

What a dreadful combination.

By Samantha CorralPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I know his destiny,

but I don't know mine.

He would conspicuously observe other colleens right in front of me.

What a swine!

There's a difference in our magic.

To believe that I was the only maiden whom you were speaking to: was foolish of me.

Your disposition is pragmatic.

I genuinely thought I was the only maiden who occupied your mind.

This excursion was traumatic.

How could I be so naive?

I struggled to inhale the smoke from your cigarette,

but you are an expert.

The time I spent with you, I do not regret.

I beg you, go to her!

I know you want to.

Your pupils dilate, when I stare into your eyes.

I feel the brunt of your accurate revelations you make about me.

When I am enamored,my clairvoyance dies.

You're complicated, now that I see.

I tried to decipher your persona,

but you're an enigma.

A lighter you randomly lit.

How restless you are.

I know you want to be with her instead.

I'm a failure.
