Night falls and my dreamland awaits,
I lay in bed, eyes wide open,
Stay awake...
Stay awake...
Stay awake...
Inside my body, a burning, uncontrolled wildfire,
Thrashing and screaming violently.
Outside, I'm paralyzed in terror,
My body chilled like a corpse.
Stay awake...
Stay awake...
Stay awake...
I must have blinked.
Awakened at the bottom of the stairs.
Eyes adjusting from a blur.
Clear vision brings confusion.
A girl, dark of hair and this.
She stairs blankly from the balcony.
She sways...
She falls...
She fly's...
A piercing shriek punctures my ears.
It was mine.
Stumbling up the stairs, my mind whirls.
I barge into the bathroom,
Face first into the toilet.
Bats with razorblade wings swarm my mouth,
Disappearing into nothing.
The mirror catches my eye, who is that?
The girl...
The rope...
It's me...
chills invade my body, muscles tense.
She's looking at me.
A smile sprawled out on her face.
In her hand a blade.
It glimmered even in darkness.
She drifted through the mirror.
Cold arms enclosed my body.
Her breath was icy in my ear.
"It's okay"...
She whispered...
"We're okay"...
Warmth shocked my body to life.
My bedroom still dark.
My body still cold to touch, but wet.
I look down and see it.
Blood.
