Being soft

in a concrete world

does not mean

I am fragile.

My compassion,

My Empathy

does not mean

I am easily

swayed

or

pushed over.

Being a lover

does not mean

I am incapable

or unwilling

to fight.

Belief

in the good,

seeing the glass

half full,

does not mean

I am naive.

It's not arson

to burn a bridge

already in flames

from burning

wrecked

cars

that you crashed

I am not a

delicate

little

flower.

I

am a

land mine.

don't step on me

Ahh! a word popped into my head that I felt summed up the feelings this gave me, and then I made the fatal flaw of pausing to sip my coffee ... and the word is gone! Argh! I loved this so much, the last bit about being a landmine and not to step on me! So good! It speaks so much into my feelings sometimes of having been walked over in the past and being seen as 'delicate' and someone that will be pushed around ... but no more! Amazing work (as usual) Ellie! 🩷 (if I remember the word, I'll come back!)
