Deja Vu or Something True

The Uncertain Boundaries of Love and Memory

By Hanen MehadbiPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Some say that love feels old and new

A mystery we can’t see through

From what I’ve known when I’m with you

I hold with those who feel it’s true

But if this love is just a dream

I think I’ve seen the in-between

That echoes, though they seem so bright

Can blur the lines of wrong and right

So whether love is false or true

In every kiss, in all we do

It’s in the heart where feelings grow

In whispered thoughts, in what we know

For love is more than déjà vu

It’s in the moments shared with you

A fleeting glance, a silent plea

Or just a thought that you love me.
