Deflowering

Honesty is the Best Policy & Other Inner Ramblings

By Ræ Sü Mn K.Published 5 years ago 1 min read

He picked

her up gently by the stem and snapped her into two,

and then he tore off

her petals to seek the fragile centerpiece,

he sucked

the pollen out of her core and

he turned

her bulbous pistil into a scraped up shell,

his filthy residue still remaining within

simmering into

disgust.

She was

all out of petals and bravery and all

she had left

was a healing stem without a crutch, so

she unforgivingly grew

some thorns and pricked

the right people for all the wrong reasons, and

the wrong people for all the right ones.

sad poetry
