Tonight is an unhaunted tomb.
Open your window and welcome
the yellow Moon. Let it crawl through
and fill its belly with your fears.
Become more than defunct: an evocation
of secondhand office chairs,
blank pages, and arrears. Tonight,
you will die alone in your room
and not give a damn. Stand naked.
Face the mirror and extricate
these dooms of pink flesh,
to fashion something new
from the exhumed.
