Deciphering life

We are alone, on this planet of existence;

Lone travelers, lone souls.

Like individual dots drawn on a blank sheet of paper,

We are individual beings inhabiting a planet in this universe.

No less are we than the twinkling stars that shine above;

No more are we than the bloom and wilt of a flower.

He cries, he heaves a sigh of sadness;

He smiles, letting out a light little chuckle.

Life is just a series of events

Not slowing down its pace; never stopping.

Choices – the differences we make each day.

Time is what we make out of it;

Regret is what we didn't.

Strongest are the ones who smile amidst adversity

Happiest are those content over the smallest things.

So enjoy the day and let it pass

Coz all in all things cease to last.

Live your dreams, be who you are

Do good, stay kind and pure at heart.

Life with its low and peaks,

The greatest joys aren’t at the two extremes.

Greatest happiness is instead found somewhere in between.

It's the smiles you created,

Laughter you went through;

Memories made and cherished,

Those hard times you made do;

Driving on life's bumpy roads is sure no easy task;

Just remember to stay strong

Build up courage, you'll last

Strumming the melody of this silent night,

Deciphering secrets, and mysteries of life

Taking in a deep breath, I lay back on my head

Pray silently to myself, and let time play its game.

Slowly I remember what I was always told

To always smile, coz it gives you hope.

Despite endless struggles, and bottled time

With each sunset, comes a new sunrise.
