Death's Violin

When Death Comes to Play

There is nowhere to go

There is nowhere to hide

So you might as well keep playing

When he joins in

*

Play your bass

Play your cello

Bang on your drums

When you hear his violin join in

*

See if you can keep up.

See if you can keep the tune

He’s ready to dance

So you might as well play along

*

He does not just come for you

He reaches for us all

There is no use fighting

He wants to play with us all

*

So, pucker up and blow your horns

Join in with your stringed instruments

Death is here with his violin

And he’s ready to jam.
